Courtyard & Exterior Murals – Girls’ Elementary School in Tehran
Date: December 2018 (Azar 1397)
Duration: 7 days
Medium: Multi-layer plastic paint on mixed brick and cement surfaces
Location: Tehran, Iran
Client: Public girls’ elementary school
This project included murals both in the inner courtyard and on the exterior walls of a public elementary school in Tehran. Because the surfaces varied —some parts brick, others cement— the illustrations were primarily executed on the cement sections, which influenced the overall design.
The concept focused on creating a child-friendly, imaginative environment using bright colors and playful forms. A highlight of the mural is a visual reference to the classic fable of “The Crow and the Fox,” integrated to spark curiosity and storytelling among the students.
Despite the technical limitations of the wall surfaces, the project successfully transformed the school environment into a more vibrant and engaging space for both children and visitors.
