Mural Project – Boys’ High School in Tehran
Date: September 2019 (Shahrivar 1398)
Duration: 4 days
Medium: Multi-layer plastic paint on brick and cement walls
Location: Tehran, Iran
Client: Private boys’ high school with strongly religious and conservative management
This mural was commissioned under the direction of the school’s strictly religious administration, which imposed significant restrictions on the visual approach. The design was centered around traditional calligraphy and religious motifs, reflecting the ideological framework requested by the client.
While the project was completed successfully within four days, it stands as an example of the limitations artists face when creative freedom is constrained by institutional agendas. Personally, this is not the type of work I would choose to revisit, but it remains part of the broader story of my professional journey.
