Courtyard & Exterior Murals – Language Kindergarten in Mahallat
Date: July 2019 (Tir 1398)
Duration: 8 days
Medium: Multi-layer plastic paint on cement and marble walls
Location: Mahallat, Iran
Client: Private kindergarten for early language learning
This project took place at a creative and vibrant kindergarten in Mahallat, where the management’s openness to ideas allowed me to push my own imagination further.
Inside the courtyard, I designed and painted a mural of the four seasons on cement walls, bringing the children a playful sense of time and change. The process was memorable and challenging, as I had to continue working under unexpected rain showers, which added both difficulty and lasting memories to the experience.
On the exterior walls of the building—made of marble—I created a caterpillar mural, with each segment representing a different letter of the English alphabet. To complete the scene, I added colorful, whimsical houses and childlike details, turning the walls into a joyful visual narrative.
This was one of my first fully independent projects, completed over eight days. The reaction from both the children and passersby was overwhelmingly positive, and I even received several new offers from nearby cities as a result. It remains a milestone in my journey of mural-making.
